Minimalism isn’t about owning less. It’s about removing the things that don’t matter so you can focus on the things that do. My portfolio is designed to help me reach financial freedom.
As my favorite author Morgan Housel says,
“Financial freedom is the ability to wake up and do whatever you want, wherever you want, with whoever you want.”
This page is a snapshot of my portfolio. It’s not perfect, but filled with great businesses that are helping me reach that goal.
Value: $128,668
Profit: $23,541
Those headline numbers only tell part of the story. The real magic is in the income the portfolio is generating every month through dividends. One day, the monthly cash flow will cover all my expenses and I’ll be financial free.
Annual Income: $2,261
Monthly Income: $188
What’s Inside?
I currently hold 12 holdings, revolving around ETFs and Individual stocks with growing dividend payouts.
Dividends are real cash, that some companies pay back to their shareholders. I’ll admit, they may seem small at first. But overtime, they snowball!
The Core
SCHD (Schwab U.S. Dividend Equity ETF): One of my all-time favorites, focusing on blue-chip companies with dependable, growing dividends.
CGDV (Capital Group Dividend Value ETF): An actively managed ETF by Capital Group, it’s like having a team of experts hand-picking top dividend growth companies for me.
DIVO (Amplify CWP Enhanced Dividend Income ETF): This one focused on companies distinguished by their consistent history of increasing both their dividends and corporate profits. There’s a call options strategy to provide a small income boost.
The Satellites
GOOGL (Alphabet): The company powering most internet searches and YouTube binges - finally in the dividend game.
ADC (Agree Realty): The buildings behind some of your favorite stores. Think Walmart, Target, and Home Depot. As a leading real estate investment trust (REIT), ADC rents these properties to big-name retailers, collecting steady rent funding reliable dividends.
V (Visa): The backbone of global payments, acting as a worldwide tollbooth for money movement. Every time you swipe, tap, or shop online, Visa collects a fee - facilitating trillions in transactions each year.
ASML (ASML Holding): ASML builds the machines that make the world’s most advanced computer chips - the foundation behind the AI revolution.
BN (Brookfield): A leader in asset management, they invests in the infrastructure behind daily life - powering the global buildout of data centers that keep our digital world running.
LB (Landbridge): Owns prime land in Texas, earning income by renting to energy companies and managing a growing water business that helps power the oil and gas industry.
TJX (The TJX Companies): A family favorite selling overstocked clothing and home decor through it’s retail brands - T.J. Maxx, Marshals, HomeGoods, Sierra, and Homesense.
ADP (Automatic Data Processing): The global provider of payroll and HR services. If you work a 9-5, you most likely have ADP to thank for getting your paycheck delivered on time!
LADR (Ladder Capital Corp): My riskiest real estate play! These guys lend money for commercial real estate (mainly multi-family apartments) and also own real estate in themselves when they find opportunity in the market.
Always Learning
My goal is not to build the “perfect” portfolio. I want to buy and hold great businesses for as long as possible - Hopefully forever. The fruit of their labor will continue to buy freedom for generations to come.
Until next time,
Jeremy ✌️
